Dream

It took our earliest Ancestors centuries to invent fire and tools. Yet if you or I were transported back into their time. Immediately we would think of using these to make life easier. Only because these have become so real and obvious to us. This is what Dreaming does for you. The longer you dream the clearer the creation seems. Therefore it needs less courage to implement it.

If you pay less attention to your dream than to reality you will need a great deal of courage because it then only seems like a pipe dream. But when you have spent hours examining the idea from your imagination… you become as familiar with the dream object as reality. And so the question of it not existing becomes ridiculous.

This is the plasticity of human experience. Things are real only if you pay them enough attention to make them so. People say, but it’s not real is it. I can’t hold it in my hand.

No, but can you hold your worries and anxieties in your hand. But you still pay attention to them.

The butterflies you get in your stomach before making a speech… are they real?

The feeling of love when you see your Partner or Child, is that real?

Reality is only what you believe to be real. If you focus your attention on your dreams… in time it will seem real. At that point you can deconstruct the way it was created and follow those steps to bring it into reality. Without that level of attention though, you will lack the courage, belief, ability and knowledge to bring it into reality.

Dream until it is so clear that you know exactly what steps to take. Dream until you are so excited… that you cannot procrastinate… you must make it come true.

Then is the natural time to move into the Dare stage. Many people know exactly what to do, but don’t do it. Sometimes for lack of motivation and other times because they are afraid. This is why the Dare stage is so important. This is the planning of how to make it happen.

Many people fall at this hurdle. They get scared and doubt themselves. Instead of following their dream, they chase the easiest way – or the least risk or most money. This is where people begin to justify ’a means to an end’.

And before you know it you have sold out your vision and integrity for something as temporary as money or status. You get the money or the status… but can’t understand why it doesn’t feel as good, as you expected it to. The result is millions of Men and Women settling for a lower quality life and relationship than they dream of. And never being recognized for what they could do.

It will be natural for you to lose sight of your dream… to dilute it… or to get too afraid to continue with it. In these times just ease up on yourself, don’t try to force it through. If you force it you’ll kill your enthusiasm and end up selling out your dream for a compromise that ultimately destroys your dream. Instead slip back into the dream stage. We too often think that everything has to move forwards at a great speed. Sometimes it is natural to slip back, regain your purpose, motivation and enthusiasm. Then the next step will soon become clear again.

The final stage is the cycle of actually Doing it. In most things in life we don’t jump straight in and do it perfectly first time. We need practice. In anything worth doing, we need to find our own route. We need to make a few mistakes, go up some dead ends to understand what is going to work, what isn’t and why. After doing this for a while we create a map of knowledge, just like we create a map of our neighborhood.
